Coming up next week is the first/second/third solo album from Depeche Mode songwriter Martin L. Gore, just a mere twelve years after Counterfeit 2. This one is more of a sequel to the brilliant collaboration with Vince Clarke Ssss, released a couple of years ago as VCMG, and appears under the name MG. This is Europa Hymn, and it’s lovely:

There was a lot of competition for this award this year, but the judging panel felt that after a decade and a half of albums, it was time to reward Goldfrapp for their services to electronic music.
